Chapter 3 Weblogs

Will Richardson gives us some great advice on how to start up a Weblog. First of all, start small. Don't get caught up in trying to do too much too soon. Rome wasn't built in a day and a good blog takes time. Like most computer based technology the More you use the technology, the more proficient you become. Teachers should achieve some level of mastery before attempting to introduce a blog into the classroom.
Student safety must be a priority, especially in this ever expanding digitally integrated world. Web 2.0 is bringing the world together, but that also means we have to be vigilant about keeping our students identities private. Will Richardson gives us a step by step method for creating a weblog and how to add content. The chapter on weblogs gets us started, but it is up to us to take it to the next level and discover what else a weblog can be used for.
